Erica Bain
Registered Veterinary Technician
From the time I was young, I’ve always felt a profound connection to animals. Raised in the Niagara area, my childhood was filled with a variety of pets, and I spent countless hours reading about and learning everything I could about different species. My academic journey took me to the University of Guelph, where I earned a degree in Biological Science and balanced my studies with playing on the university’s varsity soccer team. After spending several years living in Toronto post-graduation, I realized that my true passion lay in working directly with animals. This realization led me back to school, and I enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College. I graduated in 2020 and soon after achieved my status as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
My professional interests are particularly geared towards dentistry, and I strive to make every pet’s visit to the clinic as stress-free as possible. While I enjoy working with all our patients, I hold a special place in my heart for senior pets and those who need a little extra care to feel at ease in the clinic setting.
Outside of work, my life is filled with activities that keep me moving and exploring. I continue to play soccer, enjoy hiking, love to travel, and seize every opportunity to be outdoors. At home, I share my life with Phoebe, a quirky and affectionate cat I adopted while attending Seneca. She’s been a wonderful addition to my life, reminding me daily of the joy and companionship pets bring.
