Veterinary Partner – “Vetted” Information on the Internet

There’s LOADS of information on the internet about pet health care, but which sites can you trust? One of our go-to resources for “vetted” (pun intended) information is Veterinary Partner, a well-respected industry site established in 1991 whose mission is to provide trustworthy and accurate information for pet owners and veterinarians. Trupanion Pet Insurance

To offer pet insurance to our clients, NOAH partners with Trupanion Pet Insurance. We were the first hospital in Ontario to offer on-line, real-time Trupanion claims processing. We can submit your claims directly from our front desk, and it’s usually evaluated in five minutes or less. For the vast majority of claims, this means our clients get an immediate answer on coverage and can leave the clinic only paying their portion of the bill – and with no complicated forms to fill out and mail in. Our clients love this!

Pet Loss Support

Losing a beloved pet is difficult, and your grief can often be minimized by people around you who don’t understand the impact that losing your best animal friend can have. Click here for more information on the free Ontario Veterinary College Pet Loss Support Hotline.

Oakville and Milton Human Society

NOAH has a close working relationship with the Oakville and Milton Humane Society and helps them provide care for the animals most in need in our community. If you’re looking for a new pet to join your family, please consider adopting from our local shelter.

The Farley Foundation

NOAH is able to help owners apply for Farley Foundation grants that help families who meet the foundation’s criteria afford veterinary care.

Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is dedicated to protecting and caring for animals across Ontario. Through advocacy, education, adoption programs, and support services, they work to improve the lives of animals and strengthen the bond between people and their pets.

Guidelines for Dogs Traveling into the USA

As of August 1, 2024, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has implemented new regulations concerning the entry of dogs into the USA.

You can review the guidelines here:

As your trusted veterinary clinic, we are committed to providing you with the necessary support to help you navigate these new guidelines smoothly. It remains the pet owner’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all regulations set forth by the CDC and any other relevant authorities.

We strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the updated guidelines to avoid any inconvenience or delays.

Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our friendly team.

Puppy and Dog Training

NOAH recommends Gen Reisinger at PawsitivePlus. We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Gen and love her positive, supportive training approach for puppies and dogs. She offers small classes that include safe socialization with other dogs as well as foundational training skills to help your dog be a well-adjusted canine citizen.

Gen also offers special “Snappy to Happy” classes for reactive dogs. If you’re looking for a great training experience for your dog and your family, contact Gen at 647-866-3647 or by email at info@pawsitiveplus.com.
